Mark Kumar Top 8 WordPress Plugins That Will Optimizing Your Blog

There are boat load of WordPress Plugins are out there. There is a wordpress plugin for posts, sidebar, comments, images, twitter, pages, google, links, images, and the list goes on and on and on. With all these options, definitely makes my or anyone else’s head spin.

I mean really… out of those plugins which ones do I really need that will help me and not drag my blog’s performance. Meaning, it won’t take for EVER to load up. You see blogs are like cars. The more stuff I load (more than normal) in my car the more heavy it will get. As a result of being heavy, it won’t run as fast.

I know a lot about my blog (http:///www.MarkKumar.com ) being heavy. Because I have loaded all the wordpress plugins you can possibly think. At one time I did a test to find out how long did it take to load up my blog with all of the plugins installed. I was bored and I had nothing to do. So why not…lol

I found out that it took me “2 MINUTES” to load up my blog and I was using “T3″ connection (this is the fastest internet connection out there). I don’t know about you but if I am checking out someone’s blog and it’s going to take more than 3 to 5 seconds. I am clicking off from it.

So, I decided to uninstall some of the plugins to increase the load time of my blog. I found that I only need 8 wordpress plugins. These bad boys will keep my blog “SEO” friendly. So, that other people can find my blog on search engines like “Google, Yahoo, Bing and so on”. And still offer plenty of social media options for people to use if they want to use my blog post to post it on their “Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Linkedin and so on”

8 WordPress Plugins

Ajax Contact – I can use this plugin to create custom inquiry forms that my clients can fill to send it to me. It has all the different options that I or anyone else can possibly need. Like, dropdown list, Check box, radio buttons, Text input, Multi-Line Text Input, Select Box and so on.
Change WP Mail From Details – I can use this plugin to change my default “From email and name”. When I use wordpress to send out emails, it will say “Mark Kumar” instead of “Admin”.
Dean’s FCKEditor For WordPress – I love this plugin!!! This is like using “Microsoft Word” with spellchecker.
Exclude Pages From Navigation – By default whatever pages I create, wordpress display them even if I only intended for some people to see. With this plugin, I can just click on the “Check box” and wordpress will hide those pages. People can only view those pages if I gave them the direct url. I use this plugin a lot!!!
Flash Video Player – I use to display my videos. It takes variety of different video formats.
GD Star Rating – I love this plugin!!! If some people don’t want to leave a comment, then they can just rate my post. Good thing about this plugin is that it will “only” allow a person to rate a post “only” one time!
Platinum SEO Pack – This is a great plugin for search engines and seo.
Tweet This – This is great for social media.

With only these 8 wordpress plugins my blog loads up under 5 seconds and I am all cover for SEO and social media.
